About Us
At Meadowclere Cookery School, we provide bespoke workshops in cooking and baking from scratch. We create a hands-on and relaxed culinary atmosphere, with plenty of time to ask questions, try techniques, and, of course, taste along the way. From comforting family meals and fresh seasonal dishes, to focused workshops on breads, pastries, both local Irish and international cuisine. There is always something delicious to create together.
What makes us different
The setting.
Instead of a formal classroom, you'll be cooking in a welcoming home kitchen, nestled in an idyllic location. An environment that feels personal, inspiring, and achievable to recreate in your own space, you'll leave not only with new recipes and skills, but with the confidence to bring more creativity and enjoyment into your everyday cooking.
Features of a Typical Workshop
Upon arrival, expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
We will provide refreshments and homemade breads or bakes.
Arriving early will give you time to acquaint yourself with other workshop attendees, therefore, please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to workshop start time. Workshop sizes will generally cater for between 2-4 people. There may occasionally be larger workshop sizes.
Everything you make or bake can be taken home and containers and carry bags will be supplied. However, if you wish to bring your own, you are welcome to do so.
We will provide all of the ingredients for your workshop. We will provide you with an apron and all the required equipment.
We will also provide you with your recipes to take home to recreate.
Please ensure to wear comfortable flat shoes with a closed toe. For clothing, we recommend wearing trousers and bring a long-sleeved top to put on if needed ie to protect your arms when using a frying pan at high temperatures.

Please note that a cat is part of our home environment. Although our cat will not be in the kitchen or food preparation area, cat allergens may still be present.
